Our Corrosion Solution Process
Custom Corrosion Mitigation Plans and Implementation for Protecting Our Client’s Asset(s)
ZERUST® Integrity Solutions specializes in protecting critical infrastructure from the damaging effects of corrosion. We provide custom corrosion mitigation solutions to clients across a variety of industries where asset integrity is essential - including Oil & Gas, Mining, Petrochemicals, Offshore Wind, Marine, Shipyards, and more. Our team works closely with clients to design and implement tailored protection strategies for assets such as aboveground storage tanks, pipelines, casings, offshore platforms, and industrial equipment.

While each project is unique, the general process below outlines what clients can expect when partnering with ZERUST® Integrity Solutions for creating and implementing a custom corrosion mitigation plan and safeguarding their assets.*
Identification of Asset
The process begins when a client informs us of an asset or equipment in need of corrosion protection. This may include assets that are in-service, out-of-service, or under construction - such as tanks, pipelines, casings, or offshore structures. The asset’s condition, type, and operational status will help determine the most effective mitigation strategy.
Assessment and Solution Customization
Our team of experienced engineers, chemists, field contractors, and project managers collaborates directly with the client to assess the asset’s condition and corrosion risks. This may involve reviewing specifications, environmental conditions, inspection data, schematics, applicable API or industry standards, and budget constraints.
Based on these discussions, we develop a custom corrosion mitigagtion plan utilizing ZERUST® corrosion control technologies. After presenting an initial proposal, we refine it further based on client feedback to ensure optimal alignment with asset requirements and project goals.
Plan Approved, PO Submitted, and SCHEDULING
Once the mitigation plan is approved and a Purchase Order (PO) is submitted, a ZERUST® project manager coordinates with the client and/or contractors to finalize a project timeline and confirm installation dates.

Finalizing Project Details
We work closely with the client and any approved contractors to confirm all project details, including installation logistics, safety requirements, necessary equipment, and support needs. A ZERUST® project manager can be available onsite during installation if requested.
MATERIAL VERIFICATION & INSTALlation logistics
Our team coordinates with vendors and client representatives to ensure all required materials are ordered, shipped, and delivered to the job site on time and in full. This step is crucial for a smooth and timely installation process.
Project Installation
On the scheduled dates, installation teams - including contractors and/or ZERUST® representatives - arrive on site to execute the plan. After completing safety protocols and site check-ins, the team inventories materials, reviews the installation scope, and proceeds with the installation. Our team remains available throughout the process to address any questions or concerns.
Installation Follow-Up Report
If a ZERUST® representative is present during installation, our team will generate a detailed follow-up report post-installation. This may include photos, schematics, project summaries, observations, recommendations, and contact information for all involved parties.
Project Completion and CONTINUED SUPPORT
Following completion, we continue to engage with the client to confirm satisfaction, collect corrosion data readings (if applicable), and provide guidance on future replenishment or maintenance plans. Our commitment to asset integrity doesn’t end with installation—we’re a long-term partner in corrosion protection.
